The Legal Status of the Federation
The American Federation of Certified
Psychics and Mediums Incorporated is an official not-for-profit
corporation organized and incorporated
under the laws of the State of New York, in March 2012. It is the first
and only organization of its kind to be state registered and its
Articles of Incorporation state
approved, in the USA.
The Federation is a state registered
corporation with the New York State Department of State/Non-Profit
Corporations Division, and as defined in subparagraph (a) (5) of Section 102 of
the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law and Section 404 of the
Not-For-Profit Corporation Law. The Federation is organized as a
New York Domestic Not-for-Profit corporation.
It is organized exclusively for the
purposes of developing, recognizing, certifying, and promoting the
quality work of psychics mediums, healers, and lightworkers via
orientation programs, training, forums, discussions and public
awareness.
The Purposes of
the Federation are:

1-To promote the quality work of
psychics, mediums, healers and lightworkers

2-To develop and to enhance the abilities, talents
and full potentials of legitimate practitioners in the field.

3-To develop, conduct and offer training
programs, orientation programs, and professional materials for the better advancement
of psychics, mediums, healers, spiritual advisors,
lightworkers and their profession.

4-To grant official recognition and
certifications for qualified practitioners in the field.

5-The public objective of the
Federation is to help practitioners in the field explore
and develop their full potentials and skills, and ameliorate
their talents and gifts at no cost to them, and which without
the help of the corporation, their work would and could not be
acknowledged, made known and appreciated by the public.
Earnings of the
Federation:
No part of the net earnings of the Federation shall inure to the
benefit of, or be distributable to its members, trustees,
officers, or other private persons, except that the corporation
shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation
for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in
furtherance of the purposes set forth in Article Third hereof. No
substantial part of the activities of the corporation shall be the
carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence
legislation, and the corporation shall not participate in, or
intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of
statements) any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition
to any candidate for public office.
Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, the
corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted
to be carried on (a) by a corporation exempt from federal tax
income under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or
the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, or (b)
by a corporation, contributions to which are deductible under
section 170 (c) (2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the
corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, this
corporation shall not, except to an insubstantial degree, engage
in any activities or exercise any powers that are not in
furtherance of the purposes of this corporation.
Upon the dissolution of the
Federation:
Upon the dissolution of the Federation, assets shall be
distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of
section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the
corresponding section of any future federal tax code, or shall be
distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local
government, for a public purpose. Any such assets not so disposed
of shall be disposed of by a Court of Competent Jurisdiction of
the county in which the principal office of the corporation is
then located, exclusively for such purposes or to such
organization or organizations, as said Court shall determine,
which are organized and operated exclusively for such purposes.
